Practical Life Activities for Toddlers
Pouring, wiping, sweeping and dressing: everyday tasks that build concentration, coordination and confidence.

Why everyday tasks matter
Toddlers want to do what they see adults doing. Real tasks with child-sized tools build fine motor skills, focus and a sense of belonging in the family.
Easy activities to try
Pouring dried beans between two jugs, wiping the table with a small cloth, washing fruit, putting socks in a basket, or carrying unbreakable plates to the table.
Show slowly, speak little
Demonstrate the movement slowly with few words, then step back. Mistakes are part of learning — keep a cloth nearby and let your child help clean up.
